Nakanoshima
This section has the format of a booth-style art fair. The 2025 edition brings 44 galleries from Japan and abroad together under one roof, with each gallerist applying their unique aesthetic sensibility to the selection of works presented. Visitors will experience the resonance between the marvelously ornate interior of Osaka City Central Public Hall, the city’s premier landmark of prewar modern architecture, and the latest in contemporary art.
Oriented toward large-scale pieces and installations, this section features site-specific works by 19 artists or groups. Encounters with works that venture beyond conventional concepts of art await visitors to the venue.
