Hisamura’s interest and skepticism about art has led him to use materials and techniques that are considered to be on the periphery of art, such as handmade and DIY craft, to create works that basically have functions other than viewing, such as wearable sculptures and sit-down ready-mades and still questions what art is.

GALLERY KAWAMATSU

From established in 1976 to 2023, the gallery carry on introducing modern art of European, American and domestic artists. In 2010 we had the first exhibition and live paint show by the street artist duo Static from London. After that we have invited artists and had the solo/group shows every year.
In 2021, launched the annual group show by street artists titled "Streetsummit".
