Born in Tokyo, now based in Kyoto and working on art works. She started artist activity right after graduating from Tama Art University sculpture department in 1994. Yokomizo who is good at the large-scale installation with Site-specific Art gets the opportunity in early stage of her career starting with "criterium 37" (1998)at Mito Museum, Museum then “era of plastic” (2000)at Saitama Modern Museum, and Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo "inclining hut" (2002)at Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo , even" nature which they had stolen" (2003) at Kawamura Memorial Museum of Art. Also in 2001 she stayed in NY as an abroad researcher for Cultural Affairs . In 2005, she was invited to Kyoto as the first researcher of the Kyoto University of Art and Design international art research center. In addition, she started to work in recent years to replace installation with flat subject, and to rebuild and make an attempt to read visually in order to solve the relationship between space and time.
