Yoshiaki Inoue Gallery was founded in Osaka in 1989 and has operated as a contemporary art gallery dedicated to presenting innovative artistic practices. Since 2000, the gallery has focused on introducing a new generation of Japanese artists to international audiences, building sustained global dialogue through exhibitions and participation in international art fairs.
Alongside its contemporary program, the gallery has engaged in the reassessment of postwar Japanese art, organizing exhibitions featuring artists associated with the postwar avant-garde, including Jiro Yoshihara, Michio Yoshihara, Sadamasa Motonaga, and Takesada Matsutani.
In parallel with its historical research-oriented activities, the gallery continues to present contemporary artists working across diverse media such as painting, sculpture, photography, and video installation, developing a program that bridges historical perspectives and current artistic practices.
