【Kitakagaya】Rubber Duck Special Exhibition

A special exhibition of the giant duck artwork “Rubber Duck” will be held at the Creative Center Osaka from June 2 (Mon.) to 9 (Mon.), 2025. In conjunction with the exhibition, a limited number of the replica “Rubber Duck” as a special edition and new merchandise will be on sale. Please come and meet the adorable floating duck.
●What is the Rubber Duck?
The “Rubber Duck” by Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman is a public artwork that conveys the message that “there are no borders in this world” by using rivers, oceans, and other bodies of water around the world as bathtubs. In Japan, the “Rubber Duck” has appeared on various water surfaces, mainly in Osaka, and is loved by many people for its size and charm.
This floating duck knows that there are no borders in this world that are divided by political connotations. And the duck’s healing properties, which help to ease tensions in the world, will be gently and familiarly embraced by all generations.
