Discover art in Umekita. Explore further in Kitakagaya.
Art Osaka enters a new era with its move to Grand Green Osaka, a redeveloped area that’s the new hot spot in the heart of the city. In Umekita, a district poised to emerge as a new cultural hub, galleries and artists from Japan and abroad will gather, creating an exciting environment where art gives rise to fresh encounters and dialogue.
At the second venue, Kitakagaya, large-scale works and installations that cannot be accommodated within a conventional art fair setting are presented. Once an active shipyard, this site retains the memory of Japan’s modern industrial heritage, and the meeting of that history with the works on view gives rise to experiences available nowhere else.
Art Osaka 2026 stands at the forefront of contemporary art.
Sixty-five rigorously selected galleries from Japan and abroad introduce perspectives and values for a changing era.
