We are pleased to announce that the Association for the Promotion of Contemporary Art in Japan (APCA), the organizer of ART OSAKA, has obtained official approval from Osaka Customs on February 25, 2026, to designate the “ART OSAKA 2026 Galleries Section” as a bonded exhibition facility.
This marks the first time that ART OSAKA has received such authorization.
A bonded exhibition facility is a space authorized by the Director-General of Customs where artworks and other items imported from overseas may be stored and exhibited with duties temporarily suspended. Through obtaining this approval, we aim to create a more efficient environment for the presentation of international artworks, while also reducing the burden on exhibitors and promoting the international circulation of art.
