Galerie Miyawaki

Founded in 1958, Galerie Miyawaki launched its present building specially designed for art gallery on Teramachi-Street in Kyoto in 1973. Since then it has been quite actively hosting a succession of unique exhibitions. While previously tend to surrealist art and art informel, from the last two decades the gallery has got reputation for focusing in even more marginal realm of artistic creations. The sense of art appreciation here is based upon the idea that a primal desire for living is the foundation for all creativity.
